By choosing the Catholic School Board of Grandes Rivières (CSCDGR), you bet much more than your career: you opt for a healthy lifestyle.
The outdoors, space and affordable cost of living contribute to a unparalleled well-being and at a great quality of life.

Attractive rural background
Many city dwellers are leaving the city for more affordable regions. Beyond financial reasons, rural communities give way to a better sense of security and a greater sense of belonging. In addition, commuting time between home and work is generally much shorter in rural areas.

Pleasant school life
Our classrooms have an average of 19.6 elementary students and 12.5 secondary students - fewer students per class than most schools in Ontario. Among other things, this allows the teaching staff to offer better supervision to each student.
In addition, our schools are among the least affected by preventive measures related to the pandemic in all of Ontario!

Affordable homes
While many regions show considerable increases in real estate purchases, the average cost of houses is maintained by us, even that we observe a slight decrease in average price. The cost of buying a home of a similar style is on average three times the price, or more, in Toronto than in Timmins!

Natural social distancing
The population density in our region varies on average between 2 and 100 people per km2 while in urban areas, such as Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, it is between 350 and 4 people per km650.
