Attractive rural background

Many city dwellers are leaving the city for more affordable regions. Beyond financial reasons, rural communities give way to a better sense of security and a greater sense of belonging. In addition, commuting time between home and work is generally much shorter in rural areas.

Natural social distancing

The population density in our region varies on average between 2 and 100 people per km2 while in urban areas, such as Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, it is between 350 and 4 people per km650.

Affordable homes

While many regions show considerable increases in real estate purchases, the average cost of houses is maintained by us, even that we observe a slight decrease in average price. The cost of buying a home of a similar style is on average three times the price, or more, in Toronto than in Timmins!

Healthy community

The territory of the CSCDGR is one of the Ontario regions least affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
