Young Parents Program

The Express program is for young parents who have not completed high school. It allows them to complete their studies at La Clef adult and alternative education center, located in Timmins, in order to obtain their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). The courses are organized to closely meet their needs.

A work-during-study component offers the learner the possibility of employment at the end of the course. He or she may also decide to pursue post-secondary education.

Eligibility

The Express program is offered in partnership with the Cochrane District Social Services Administration Board. It is aimed at young parents aged 15 to 25 who are part of the program Learning, Earning and Parenting (LEAP). Parents over the age of 25 who have not completed high school and are in the same situation can also participate in the program.
