Our mandate

The Grandes Rivières District Catholic School Board is committed to developing an inclusive environment that celebrates student diversity. In connection with the Indigenous Education Strategy (2007), the Implementation plan (2014), educational resources - Scope and sequence of learning expectations and content from kindergarten to 8e XNUMX and of 9e to 12e XNUMX  et Calls to Action on Education full Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, the Council strives to cultivate a learning environment conducive to the development of all of its students by increasing the awareness of students and staff about the culture, history, perspectives and contributions of Indigenous peoples. In addition, the Council continues to establish and maintain links with members of local Indigenous communities to ensure that the programs and services offered to First Nations, Métis and Inuit students provide accurate and authentic information. We aim to improve student achievement and well-being in all of our elementary and secondary schools.
