The Board works with parents, students and community partners through the Aboriginal Education Committee to discuss priorities, initiatives and issues related to Aboriginal education in the schools of the Conseil scolaire catholique des Grandes Rivières. Its objective is to make suggestions to the Board through the development and implementation of the Aboriginal Education Action Plan to ensure that the needs of Aboriginal students are met.

The Indigenous education action plan takes into account four priority areas:

• support students,
• support school staff,
• increase engagement and awareness
• use data to support student achievement.
