Accessibility of facilities

At the Conseil scolaire catholique de district des Grandes Rivières, we place the dignity of the person at the heart of our mission, our values ​​and our vision. We are committed to continuously improving access to our services and facilities for students, staff, parents / guardians, volunteers and community members.

Our Multi-year accessibility plan 2015-2021 (non-accessible PDF)describes the measures taken by the CSCDGR and those to be put in place during the period 2015-2021. These measures are intended to identify, remove and prevent obstacles to people with disabilities who use our services and facilities.

Requirements according to the integrated accessibility standards

The Integrated Accessibility Standards requirements that apply to the Board fall into four categories:

  1. General requirements: accessibility policy, accessibility plan, procurement or acquisition of goods, services and facilities, self-service kiosks and training;
  2. Information and communications standards: training offered to educators, educational and training resources and materials, feedback process, accessible formats and communication supports, accessible websites and web content;
  3. Employment standards: recruitment - general arrangements, recruitment - assessment or selection process, notification to successful candidates, information on supports, accessible formats and communication supports for employees, workplace emergency response information, individualized and documented accommodation plans, return-to-work process, performance management, career development and advancement, reassignment;
  4. Transport standards: School transportation.

Web accessibility

At the time of going live, this website met or exceeded the level AA requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, with the exception of the PDF documents it contains. Non-accessible documents will gradually be replaced by integrated content or by new accessible documents.
