As part of a provincial reflection process, The Ontario Provincial Office for Catholic Education (OPÉCO) is continuing its conversation by offering a virtual consultation with the Francophone Catholic education community. in order to continue developing its mission and vision. This consultation process was developed in collaboration with a specialized firm and several partners in the Catholic education sector, to ensure a rigorous approach.
Context
OPÉCO's mandate is to support Catholic schools in implementing faith education and pastoral care. To continue responding to the current and future realities of Catholic education in French Ontario, OPÉCO wishes to gauge community sentiment and gather perspectives from various partners.
This consultation will foster a shared reflection on the relevance, identity, and future of Catholic education, as well as on the role OPÉCO is called upon to play in the coming years. OPÉCO wishes to hear a diversity of voices from across the educational and ecclesiastical community.
The questions are asked for informational purposes to support this reflection. The results will inform OPÉCO's future directions and identify avenues for action to support French-language Catholic schools. Under no circumstances is this intended to pass judgment on the practices, beliefs, or commitment of the respondents.
